The Day..

In life there are "Big" days..."Bigger" days...and then there is "The Day"...That "The Day" is my wedding day...we just won't say what number wedding it was ;-) ...You have to go through a lot of frogs to find your Prince...I found mine when I wasn't looking almost 6 yrs ago...I looked up one day and he was there...literally!! He walked in and sat right down at my business...That was on April 22, 2005...Two years later on April 22, 2007 we were married on "Dafuskie Island" it's a small island off Hilton Head in SC...It was just me, Chris and some Dolphins...oh yeah!! The Minister and Photographer...

We did not tell many people what we were doing...some knew before and some found out afterwards...we had some disappointed family members...But, I would do it like that again in a heartbeat...This was "OUR" day and "OUR" time...it wasn't about flowers..Reception...food..Expensive dresses and the chaos that goes with getting married...been there...done that!!! This was about Chris & me and our commitment to each other...

This is what "MY" wedding was all about....

Tell me about your "The Day"...

  1. Love this collage and your wedding was just beautiful. Our wedding was not what I wanted it to be...because I let my family talk me into a family celebration. Alls we wanted to do was go to the JP and have a simple ceremony between ourselves. We consider OUR DAY our first date...it was a Friday the 13th ;) Actually almost 20 years ago, August 13, 1991...wow! It still feels like the first date everytime I see him walk into the room and that's pretty good seeing as how we are with each other now 24/7 here at the Love Shack ;P
