Do you know what my vision is???

Anyways! When I am not at the salon I am in my home office, either painting or blogging or pinning - 

OK, Let's just say on the computer!

I have so many things that run through my head that I will sit here and stare at this wall...

I've been wanting to do a vision dream board and I thought this would be the perfect place to put one. Then I can put all the things I dream about (Realistically). We are hoping to buy a new house by summer and I plan on using this dream board to keep me on track. When I go to do online shopping (which I do often) I can look at my dream board and be reminded of what's more important. 

I have a 40% off coupon to Hobby Lobby (I know here I go again). So, I made a trip to buy my dream board supplies. Cheaply that is!!

I picked up a cork board, push pins, spray adhesive, a wall decal and a yard of fabric. My goal is to do my office/craft room in French Vintage so I might as well start now so I will have it for my new home.

I bought a 24 X 36 Cork board so it would be big enough to go above my desk.

I really wanted to by a piece of cork and put a custom frame around it but it was more then I was willing to spend at this time...(I'm proud I made that decision, first cut back towards by goal to save money)

I painted the wood of the cork board black and sprayed adhesive on the cork and covered it with the piece of fabric. All I have to say about spray adhesive is "HOLY STICKY". This is the first time I used it and it works like a charm but tacky tacky tacky!!!

I am really happy with how my dream board turned out so far.

I wanted to add some kind of encouraging words to put on the board. I thought of buying wood letters and attaching the word, "Believe" to the cork board. I gathered up the letters and was walking through the store and saw the perfect saying to go with my dream board.

Isn't it perfect???

It all fits perfectly just like I visioned and that does not happen too often. I went on Pinterest made collages of some of my favorite decorating ideas, and some home ideas I just love, and pinned them to my dream board. I do believe this will truly inspire me to keep my dreams on track.

Wow! What a big difference the dream board has made.

I look forward to keeping you all informed how well this works for me.

Tote Love...

If you know me or follow my "Crazy" life than you know how much I am obsessed with tote bags...

One for my Canon camera...one for my laptop...one for the boat...one for my coupons....Oh you get the idea....

I just got another tote for when I'm organizing....woo hoo (that's another blog)

NOPE…Not a Vera Bradley …But, I bet you thought it was and you were thinking I’ve never seen that pattern before (loving the black & red pattern) …Liking it aren’t you???…LOL!!

It’s from the Marie Osmond Collection… I really need to stay off her website…It is going to get me in so much trouble…It’s like keeping a drink from an alcoholic……That is some rough stuff..alcohol is cheaper…I need to rethink my addictions.. ha-ha

I “CRAZY” love my new computer bag…it’s perfect when I go sit in Barnes & Noble…It has a cute lil cell phone holder that hooks on the side…

I’m not a fan of “Animal Print” patterns like some people I know (uh hum …Roberta)…but I do like it in MY NEW TOTE..It’s the perfect touch to the pocket in front…It’s big enough for a tablet or some folders…(especially when I’m toting around school crap ~rolling eyes~)…

Look at all the cute compartments it has on the inside…and enough room for more tablets, folders or books…~still rolling eyes~

My “red” computer matches and looks great in there…doesn’t it??? …See it was all meant to be (yep!! I keep telling myself that)..

COME ON TELL ME…I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE ADDICTED TO TOTES….

I'm in love...

SERIOUS!!! Have you ever looked for months and months for that perfect piece of furniture and COULND"T FIND IT ??? (down right frustrating)...

So you 'Just Settle"...(I hate when that happens)...that right there is a NEON sign saying "I WILL SOON BE DONATED OR SOLD" (Why? cause we really are not happy with it)...Don't get me started on this subject...

Now we all know I'm making a "BIG MOVE"...like I need to be shopping for anything (No, really I wasn't)... I was reading some of my favorite blogs (see I'm innocent...no really!! I am THIS TIME...lol)

I'm sitting here minding my own business (yes I do take breaks)...Where was I?? Oh minding my own..hehe...Anyways, I was reading Sara's blog over at Thrifty Decor Chick about re-doing her livingroom and on the hunt for the perfect furniture...AND THERE IT WAS!!!!

I wanted to JUMP out of my chair and go FIND IT...IT IS PERFECT...I'm so in LOVE with it!! I can't stand it... I HAVE to HAVE IT...(Do you hear me screaming)...I just want to touch it...sit in it...love it...OK OK I'm done making you wait...I like to introduce you to the new "LOVE" of my life!!!!

Now I'm on the search to find it...I sent Sara an e-mail asking her where she found it and in the meantime my P.I. instincts already kicked in...I FOUND IT at Arhaus and her name is "JULIA"...(soo doing the happy dance)...

My BUBBLE  just got BUSTED...(crying...no sobbing...no HYSTERICAL)...She's $2,018..(Waaa Waaa)...Someone please pass me some...

Love my "Jo Tote"...

I just love coming home from a trip and having packages J

We all know I LOVE taking pictures and we all know I LOVE totes (if you didn’t …Now you do)…Hmmm!!! What should we talk about first??? My love of pictures or my addiction to totes…Let’s talk TOTES (clapping)

My new one just happens to be a new “Tote” for my “Camera(s)”…Yep! That was a camera with an “s” on the end…I have more than one…I have my SLR that makes me look professional…PSSTTT (no clue how to work it…to be honest) and I have my new Canon PowerShot SX 210 my hubby bought me for my birthday…Great lil camera to carry everywhere with me…I’m always snapping pics and my lil camera is always handy…I might look a bit funny pulling out a big camera with a big lens (not very conspicuous) now is it…LOL

Oh MY BAD…back to the tote…(I get easily side tracked)…Where was I??? Oh yeah!! My special delivery package…I won’t make you wait any longer…Here it is…My “JO TOTE” Camera Bag…



I was so excited when I got it in the mail...I've waited for this camera tote for months..(Happy Birthday to me)...well not really but sounds good when I try to rationalize my purchase to the hubby...hehe

It is so much more fashionable than the old one...don't you think???

I do have to say this before I forget...the bag is very soft (incredible leather)...(I am not a spokesperson for JoTotes) just a very pleased customer!!!

Now to pull out my camera and lenses that I have no idea how to use...there is so much I could do with my SLR that I wish I had time to learn or someone to show me all the wonderful things I could do with it...

I would have all my camera equipment in this camera bag and have to carry it along with my purse whenever we went somewhere and I wanted to take nice photos...the nice thing about the old camera bag is that it has a cover to put over the bag to protect it from rain...but can you say "So NOT a fashion statement"..

Ahhhh!!! This is much better...I not only fit my camera and all three (3) lenses I also fit my Canon PowerShot ...my cell phone...my wallet and I have room for a few more things....this is Crazy Beautiful!!!

HOW DO YOU CARRY YOUR CAMERA AROUND???

One Journal at a Time...

We all know I have an obsession with journals…I just can’t seem to go to a store and not buy one especially when they are on sale…Seeing how as I barely have time to blog...Writing in a journal is definitely out…Bet you are wondering what I do with all the journals I buy??? Ha!! Me too ;-)

Since I have decided to re-decorate and organize my home those journals have become very useful…I just needed to grab a journal…some post-it tabs I had laying around and my label maker…We are in business…



I have made an “Ideas Book”…I look my post-it tabs and label maker and made tabs for every area of my home…

I take any ideas I see online or in a magazine and cut them out and tape it in my "Ideas Book" for the desired room...Now when it's time for me to re-do a room I just grab my "Ideas Book" and get to work...Sounds easier than I'm sure it will be...Here's a couple ideas I really like that I found on one of my blogs...Delightful Order that I saved and taped in the "storage" section of my book...

Now on to journal #2...I love "Before & After" photos...It's always nice to actually see progress when you do something...or when you take an idea you saw and made it your own....

I will have an idea to do something but not sure EXACTLY what that idea is (brain fog)...I knew I wanted  some color in an empty space on a shelf in my office and I wanted some flowers...but the space was not that big so a vase wouldn't really work...So, my fingers did the walking as I once again went online to find some ideas...Well!!! Remember my bouquet of Green & Purple flowers in the little bowl vase...the lightbulb went on when I saw the idea at Life's Sweeter with Chocolate ... Here's the before & after...

Now I just need a "Dream" book...for all the wonderful things I WOULD love to HAVE!!! Well it didn't take me long to get one...I went to staples today to get some tape for my label maker and I was heading to the register with blinders on but one must of had a hole because they had some journals for $3...how could I say "NO"...Hahaha...I didn't!!

It wasn't what I was really looking for but for $3 I made it work...Good thing for label makers and brightly colored tape...Now it works...I love my "Dream" book...

Now to put all the things I dream about having for my home... I would love this silkscreen mirror for my office...A mirror always makes a room look bigger and the silkscreen bookshelves and books are just too cute....A girl can "DREAM" can't she???

TELL ME ABOUT JOURNALS YOU KEEP...

Flowers

My favorite thing to have around...flowers..If I could have fresh flowers on my table everyday I would...they are soft and delicate and refreshing...if there was only a way to make them last for weeks...I should actually try and preserve them...might have to learn how to do that...especially my absolute favorite...the STARGAZER lily...they smell wonderful..I'm smiling just thinking about them...LOL..

If you don't know what to get me...you can be sure that flowers are the safe bet...I'm not picky ;)

Now planting flowers are a different story for me...Love ROSES and have no problem with them...Azaleas are another one of my favorite and can't grow them to save my life...and believe me I have tried and tried...I always end up with a dead plant..if I'm lucky I might get a dozen blooms on it...haha!! I am not known for a green thumb that's for sure..

I will have to get out this spring and take some photos of flowers all around me...If I can't grow them I can enjoy them through photos....Ohhhh!! I will  ALSO stick to flowers in a vase delivered to me...~wink wink~

 Flowers have their own language of love and thoughtfulness...Let me share some of that "LOVE"....
