I received this message on my phone before I went into church and it brought tears to my eyes to know that I touched someone so much by simply doing their hair...

So if I ever question what I do I just have to look back at the people that I made smile and read the e-mails...And, realize there is no reason to question...I am right were I belong!!

Where to BEGIN???

I don't even know where to begin...it's been awhile!

I might have to break this up or I will be writing a long book...Last time I posted was in January and I have gone through quite the changes since then...I guess it makes for ALOT to write about :-)

I still have computer issues that have had me sooo irritated but what's a girl to do?? Bottom line - 

I NEED A NEW COMPUTER!!!

(Yes! It makes me cry $$$)

Yep!! I started smoking again...

I am trying to quit and it's been really, really hard! I am open to any really good suggestions...I have felt like crap lately and I know I need to quit...I have been on prescription meds in the past to quit...just to end up in 

a BIG FAT FAIL!!

But, I did really well yesterday I only had 2 cigs...

Sitting around (granted I was in school for the past year)..smoking and eating crappy has done quite the toll on my little body...I think I've finally realized I am not 27 anymore and the weight just doesn't fall off...This is all I have to say about what's going on...

NOT!!!!

Here's a funny for you....I am going to start eating healthy and start exercising!

If you have followed my blog in the past then you know I went back to school AGAIN to get my cosmetology license AGAIN!

I am happy to say that I am done...And, I can surely tell you that going back to school after all these years has been one of the toughest things I have ever done in my life!!

Now to begin my new chapter in life in the beauty industry...So many opportunities...

Right now we have teamed up with a few photographers and done the hair and make-up for a few photo shoots...We were even lucky enough to do a photo shoot for a national magazine...I can't wait to share all the fun stuff with you...

Here's a shocker...We MOVED again!!! and if you have followed me in the past you will know I just moved a year ago...this will be the 5th move in 3 yrs...And, NO we are not military!!

We downsized again to save money to hopefully buy a house next year...

(Please say prayers this plan works)

I can't take moving again...Now that I live in a box cause that's what it feels like...I might be divorced before next year living in this "CABIN" as I call it...Because, that's exactly what it feels like!!

See...CABIN in the woods!!!

More on this later!! 

Too much talk about this one stresses me out...But, let me say that this move involves NO storage space so now we are involving a storage unit on this venture!!

Hubby and I did celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in April...The original plan 5 yrs ago was that he was to take me to....

Hawaii

Haha...that didn't happen...We went to Ashville, NC instead...

Hung out at the Biltmore for the day...

Took cheesy photos of our selves...

Got all dressed up for a fancy dinner at Biltmore Inn...

And, ate some really fancy food!!!

My salad...Are you kidding me??? If I ate like this I wouldn't have a muffin top...lol

And, I couldn't figure out why there were PANSIES on my salad!!!

And, who can resist a really good dessert!!!

This was very sweet!! 

And, you too can get this fancy dinner for the low, low price of $200!!

Well, I hope I can get back into blogging...I really wish my computer was cooperating but until I can afford a new one I will have to make it work...A BIG problem...it won't let me download my photos off my camera ...and now that Picasa is gone I have no idea how I would edit my photos anymore...

Myth of the Sock Curls

I don't usually believe something works until I try it...or unless I know you and you have tried it...

WELL...the new hair craze is sock curls...And seeing how I love to try different things to my hair except cut it...and curling it can be a pain because it is so long...I thought I would check more into this GREAT new way to curl your hair....And look at all the beautiful pics of hair that has been supposedly curled with socks...

Aren't they beautiful??? Why wouldn't anyone with long hair NOT want to do this???

I know I do...I have really long hair...SEE...

It would look great with nice lose curls...but before I take you on my sock curls journey...here are a few of my most recent hairstyles...Not much you can do with long hair...

Here's the TRUTH about sock curls!!!!

They work for (plug your ears) shit!!!!

Yep!! I just cussed on my blog...but you know it's irritating when you see something that is all over the internet and all over PINTEREST...You would think it works...

Well I'm here to tell you it DOES NOT!!!

I've done the sock bun...

I've done the head band...

I've even done the sock rolls...

I can assure you that I did not get any of these...

But, I did get this and before I show you...let me warn you...

"DO NOT DO THIS WHEN YOU HAVE TO BE SOMEWHERE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING"

What on God's green earth am I suppose to do with this...I look like BOZO the clown and I have a 1/2 hour to do my make-up and tame this hair down...

Note to self: NEVER EVER do this again!!!

I wanted curls I sure as crap got them....and I do not have the time to wash...dry and style my hair...so I pulled out my spray bottle and sprayed water on it and just combed until the curls started to relax...

This is much better...

I learned a lesson here...

1) Do not try something new on a work/school night

2) Do not believe everything you see online

3) If it looks to good to be true it probably is

AND

4) Forget curling my hair with socks....LOL

TELL ME ABOUT SOMETHING YOU SAW ONLINE AND TRIED THAT WAS A FAIL!!

New Do...

Nothing like a beautiful spring day and a new hair-do...I always say I'm going to do something different when I go to my hair dresser but it doesn't usually happen that way...I'm such a fraidy cat...LOL

I dont' mind playing with my hair color (seeing how I'm pigment challenged any way).. or should I call them natural highlights...Oh go ahead and laugh...I'm sure some of you already know what I'm talking about..and if you don't I'll say the bad word GREY (eww It's such an ugly word)...time to move on from that!!! Yikes!!

I have really long hair and there is not much I can do to change my hairstyle...actually I like my hairstyle but I'm ready for some layers and new color...but when I do that I end up back to the same color and highlights...I'm so boring...haha...Don't you think???

Did you take notice of the boxes in the background?? We all know why...MOVING...AGAIN!! That right there will give you all the NATURAL highlights you want...hahaha

From the looks of those ends it's time for a haircut...I'm thinking layers and lots of them...freshen up the color and I will feel like a million bucks...(Ok maybe just the $100 I spent on the new do..haha) HEY we can all use a beauty day especially after a long dreadful winter...( I like ME time)...don't you??? Here it is..see a difference...LOL ;-)

My hair was darkend to a dark brown and then we added blonde and red highlights...

This is the problem when I get new hair color I start second guessing or find things I need to change...(hey us women can do that ya know)...maybe a little bit more red and dark brown and not so much blonde...hmm!! decisions decisions...

Ohhh it looks good from that angle...hehe...any ways it's about as far as I'm willing to go to change my hairstyle...I do get credit for getting layers...that was a lot of hair...go me go me!!!
